Overview

The Shipping Receiving Supervisor oversees employees in receiving and shipping in daily operations to ensure material is received and/or shipped in a timely manner. Ensures that the required level of internal/external customer support is provided on a 24/7 schedule to support programs in work.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Ensures materials in the receiving area are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Ensures that the receiving dock and shipping dock is kept clean, safe and orderly.
  3. Ensures the shipping materials are stored accurately orderly and securely.
  4. Responsible for compliance with HazMat regulations.
  5. Revises procedures as required to meet changes in the operation and customer requirements.
  6. Reviews time and attendance reports daily.
  7. Ensures employees follow procedures and are trained in safety, proper handling, processing and control of materials.
  8. Monitors the receiving and shipping training procedure, ensuring compliance with Policy.
  9. Ensures stock levels of material for shipments of seats and parts are monitored and ordered when needed.
  10. Assist the Logistics Supervisor with scheduling of internal company transportation and external transportation needs.
  11. Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing production downtime, overtime and call-in hours.
  12. Coach, train, council and supervise the performance of direct reports.
  13. Ensure proper training for employees on CFR 49 and IATA.
  14. Perform reviews and explain company policy with personnel.
  15. Fully uses all assets available to accomplish smooth work flow. 

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years shipping/receiving experience or have one year previously demonstrated ability within HAECO.
  3. Must possess knowledge of standard aircraft components, materials, and aviation hardware.
  4. Must possess knowledge of HazMat and be able to complete mandatory IATA training/certification.
  5. Must be familiar with the requirements of REACH.
  6. Must have a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
  7. Must have a valid driver’s license.
  8. Intermediate computer experience.
  9. Must be knowledgeable in the receipt, warehousing, issuing and shipping of materials.
  10. Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  11. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  12. Read, write, and understand the English language.
