  • Overview

    JOB SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates activities of all Programs Procurement personnel engaged in Integrated Programs Team (IPT) program management in support of manufacturing operations. This includes programs oversight of program delivery and quality of direct materials, raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies required to support plant activities, production, and aftermarket needs. Responsible for a team of Programs Procurement program leaders who engage in cross-functional IPT membership, Configuration Control Board (CCB) and make-buy engagement, Program Kit Fill Rate, Days Payable Outstanding and Defective Material Report processing, as well managing each Program’s long-lead Bill of Material.


     


    JOB DUTIES:


     



    1. Lead the Supply Chain Programs Procurement team.  In this role, the leader will be responsible to develop and implement Program Procurement strategies for Cabin Solutions product and services in order to optimize and protect the supply chain, deliver best value (total landed cost) while maintaining quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness objectives.  This leader will also engage, influence and direct cross-functional stakeholders during program development and execution, including responsibility to engage in Integrated Programs Teams and Supply Chain leadership team as business needs arise. 

    2. Develop strong relationships with and actively engage senior leaders within Supply Chain, Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, and the Cabin Solutions Senior Leadership Team

    3. Assess Program proposal and execution risk, identify and resolve conflicts, and develop contingency and mitigation plans to deliver program deliverables on schedule, and compliant with internal and Customer requirements. Facilitate program communication, interaction and flow with all stakeholders from a SC perspective

    4. Confers with Integrated Programs Team to provide technical advice and to solve problems

    5. Provides strong leadership to senior Supply Chain team including employee development and performance management

    6. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of procurement basics, ethical business conduct, legal and contractual principles, and protection of HAECO, supplier and customer proprietary data by complying with company policies, procedures and accepted business practices

    7. Works closely with the operations team to support program needs for both OEM and aftermarket Customers

    8. Foster increased productivity and advancement opportunities by personal commitment to professional development and by practicing continuous improvement of processes

    9. Responsible for oversight and delivery execution of all Programs requirements and Procurement personnel.

    10. Responsible for coordinating with materials, operations, engineering, finance, quality, and field operations to complete projects and achieve expected benefits within project timeline

    11. Will work with cross-functional teams to build and execute project implementation plans for productivity and continuous improvement projects

    13. Will partner with teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements; Will serve as an active participant in business unit productivity gate reviews ensuring required cross-functional resources are allocated to execute projects as outlined

    14. Responsible for monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate

    15. Will investigate, coordinate, and communicate project changes; will create and make revisions to project schedules, business cases, risk assessments and other project management tools; will create and conduct presentations for project approvals and monthly status

    16. Will identify gaps to goals and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed targets

    17. Will coordinate continuous improvement and margin enhancement initiative sessions and generate and evaluate new ideas and opportunities aligned with Business Unit priorities and strategies

    18. Implement and track cost savings, spending compliance and variances and prepare reports on those efforts for Senior Management.

    19. Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    20. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training department employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    21. Must have proven experience driving cost reduction

    Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


    MINIMUM



    1. Bachelor's degree and 15 years of Supply Chain experience or an equivalent combination of an advanced degree and professional experience including direct staff leadership experience

    2. Extensive experience in aerospace supply chain and programs procurement, and program management

    3. Sound understanding of business agreements and general business practices

    4. Ability to manage multiple work assignments and meet critical deadlines

    5. High integrity and an unyielding commitment to compliance

    6. Strong understanding of Supply Chain and related processes required

    7. Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence external and internal Customers, and key stakeholders in a matrixed organization; ability to build strong relationships

    8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization

    9. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, especially in the aerospace industry

    10. Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities

    11. Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership


     


    PREFERRED



    1. Knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor preferred)

    2. Working experience with Aircraft OEMs (i.e. Boeing or Airbus), Aircraft OEM suppliers, and/or airline customers for existing and new product development

    3. Working knowledge of aerospace interior components a plus

    4. Working knowledge of composites, plastics, metals and soft goods a plus

    5. Proven experience using cost reduction and process optimization tools such as Design for x (manufacturability, cost, etc), Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred)
