  • Overview

    JOB SUMMARY:          

    Maintain all company manuals to a standardized format, using company standard publishing programs. Perform other technical writing functions as directed by the Corporate Manager of Regulatory Compliance.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    1. Receive and track all requests for manual changes.
    2. Provide revision incorporation of all manual and document change requests submitted with approval of the appropriate authority.
    3. Update posting of manuals and documents on the HELP and Coruson databases as directed.
    4. Maintain the company intranet web site relative to posting company manual publications.
    5. Create and maintain company forms using a variety of software programs.
    6. Work with outside vendors to produce camera ready forms for subcontracted printing
    7. Provide technical writing interface with assigned FAA representatives.
    8. Manage the Coruson program signatory stages relative to manual FAA approval/acceptance.
    9. Supply electronic revisions to each facility technical library.
    10. Inform each facility via email when manuals have been updated on HELP/Coruson.
    11. Ensure revision oversight from the Corporate Manager of Regulatory Compliance prior to posting HELP or Coruson revisions.

    Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    MINIMUM:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
    2. 2-4 years’ industry experience as a Technical Writer
    3. Superior written and verbal communication skills
    4. Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat software
    5. Experience with Microsoft suite of programs
    6. Experience with Microsoft Access
    7. Web Publishing capability

     

    PREFERRED:

    1. Snagit experience
    2. Familiarity with FAA regulations
