  • Overview


    The Tool Clerk will provide for the receipt and return of tools and tooling.  The Tool Clerk will ensure accurate and current records of all tools issued, and provide information on tools and tooling on a routine and per diem basis.  The Tool Clerk will ensure all tools are stored accurately and are secure and efficiently accessible.  Provide information on revolving inventory levels and fill material requisitions promptly and accurately, report discrepancies and material shortages.



    1. Maintain a secure warehouse environment for company-owned, government-provided and customer-furnished material to ensure proper accountability of assets.
    2. Ensure inventory balances remain accurate by proper completion of documents to ensure receipt and issue transactions of HAECO Special Services (HSS), government and customer-furnished material is in accordance with established procedures.
    3. Monitor tools to ensure items are handled appropriately and within specified time frame.
    4. Administer and follow up on past due tools issued to personnel to ensure availability for other employees and shifts.
    5. Repair company-owned tools and request required material to complete tasks.
    6. Issue tools and tooling to authorized personnel and insure proper transactions and paperwork are accomplished to maintain accurate records.
    7. Check received tools and tooling to ensure they are in good working order and the same as issued.
    8. Ensure tools and tooling are stored in their proper location, secure and in an orderly manner.
    9. Assist with the repair of tools, air hoses, electrical cords and any other repairs as instructed by the Tool Clerk Lead.
    10. Ensure all tooling is safe and within calibration requirement prior to issue.
    11. Ensure the working area and equipment are safe.
    12. Be proficient in current computer systems and supporting software utilized by HSS and make accurate data entries in accordance with established procedures.
    13. Maintain a clean, workable warehouse designed for efficiency in locating individual items and increased productivity.



    1. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Stores.


    1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
    2. Must have a valid driver’s license.
    3. One (1) year of tool-related experience
    4. Must have a working knowledge of tools, tooling issues, and tool repair.
    5. Must be able to demonstrate mechanically ability.
    6. Individual should be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
    7. Demonstrated proficiency with computers


    1. One (1) year of aviation tool room experience
